This May, Nantucket's historic downtown will welcome Mór Wine, a boutique bottle shop located at 16 Federal Street. The venture is spearheaded by Edwin Claflin, chef and owner of Oran Mor Bistro, in partnership with Eileen Harkness, proprietor of the resale boutique Commonwealth Nantucket. Their collaboration aims to enrich the island's wine scene by offering a curated selection of grower-produced champagnes, independent winemakers, award-winning spirits, unique vermouths, and distinctive digestifs and aperitifs. Signature spirits and ingredients featured in Oran Mor Bistro’s cocktail program will also be highlighted, accompanied by menus and food pairing suggestions. Nantucket Current+1The Food Lens+1
In addition to its diverse beverage offerings, Mór Wine will share its space with Commonwealth Nantucket, which is relocating from its current Oak Street location. This integration will provide patrons with access to vintage glassware, barware, and other products tailored for home entertaining. The opening of Mór Wine is timely, coinciding with the 27th Annual Nantucket Wine & Food Festival, scheduled from May 14 to 18, 2025. This festival attracts over 4,000 wine and food enthusiasts, making it an opportune moment for Mór Wine to introduce itself to the community and visitors alike.
